Diving Rebels Meeting - September 4th - Social 6:30 - meeting 7:15

The program will be Dr. Larry McKenna, founder of Save Our Leatherbacks Operation, S.O.L.O. and directors Dr. Mike Miller and Pam Miller. They will share their story and discuss movement of flowing water into trash piles in the ocean. Project Komodo, which focuses on cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, will be introduced.

Our “sister” club, Scubadillo Dive Club is bringing this program and a raffle opportunity for one very beautiful ruby and sapphire turtle pendant and chain. Raffle tickets are $10 each, and each club shares the fundraising. The winning ticket will be drawn September 5th at the “Dillo” meeting.

Thank you to Dr. McKenna for donating this pendant appraised at nearly $1000 and to the Scubadillos for sharing this event.
